What are POP (POP3) mail & IMAP?
POP mail enables you to use an email program, like MS Outlook and Outlook Express, on your own computer to send, receive and manage your emails. POP mail is one of the most functional ways to work with email. When you use POP mail, you actually download your emails from our server to your computer. Your emails are then stored on your own computer, which means you can manage your emails offline. You only need to be connected to the Internet to send and receive emails. Working with a POP mail client, like MS Outlook and Outlook Express, is usually faster and more comfortable than working with Web mail. EnterGroup POP mail supports all POP mail clients.

IMAP is a protocol for retrieving e-mail messages. It is similar to POP but supports additional features. IMAP allows a 2-way communication with your email client and the EnterGroup servers. Using IMAP an email client program can not only retrieve email but can also manipulate message stored on the server, without having to actually retrieve the messages. So messages can be deleted, have their status changed, multiple mail boxes can be managed, etc. EnterGroup's IMAP servers support all IMAP clients.

What is Web Mail?
Web-based email is also known as Web Mail or browser-based email. To use Web-based email you just need a browser and an Internet connection. All the tools you need to manage your emails are available for you online in your Web mail site. You can send, receive and manage your email instantly from any computer without any configuring. You must be connected to the Internet to use Web mail. With Web mail, your emails sit on our server; your emails are not downloaded to your computer. So when you read an email, you are accessing the email almost like any other Web page, which means that you can access your emails from almost anywhere in the world.

What do I need in order to work with EnterGroup?
In order to work with EnterGroup you need the following: you need to own or have the ability to administer a domain. If you do not own a domain, contact us and we will purchase one for you.

It doesn't matter which service of ours you take, you can always choose to have your Web mail site branded upon your registration or at a later time.

Do I need to have my domain name hosted somewhere?
Yes, your domain name needs to be hosted in order for you to have email @your-domain. If you bought a domain and it is just 'parked' with your registrar, you will need to have your domain name hosted somewhere. If you have or will have Web site hosting, domain name hosting will usually be included in the package. If you currently do not have Web site hosting or will not have Web site hosting, EnterGroup can host your domain name.

Once I sign-up for EnterGroup, how do I set-up my email to work with EnterGroup?
There are 2 easy steps that your need to do in order to have EnterGroup host your email. In order to have anybody host your email, you will need to make a few simple changes to your DNS. Once you successfully register for our service, we send you these set-up instructions. You will need to modify your MX Record and create a host name, pointing to our IP.

Almost anyone can make these changes without having technical knowledge. We assist you with whatever help you may need in making these DNS changes. If you have a Web based admin account for domain management, we can even enter your account and make the DNS changes for you. It is also common for our customers to simply forward their DNS set-up instructions to their hosting providers so their hosting providers can make the DNS changes for them.

Does your system have an attachment size limit?
Only our X-presso & PayMail systems have a limit of 2MB attachments on incoming mail. This limitation can be increased. Fidelity & Family Mail Plus Clients have NO LIMITS whatsoever on attachment sizes.

Does SMTP service come with your services?
Fidelity and Family mail come with standard SMTP service. You can send email from your office, laptop or home regardless of what service provider you use to connect to the Internet.

Can I automatically forward emails from one mailboxes to another and how much does it cost?
Each EnterGroup customer receives an online admin panel to manage their email. In this admin area, you will be able to set-up email forwarding. Each email box you open and forward will be charged as a normal email box. You can create as many aliases as you need, there is no charge whatsoever for aliases.
